Maryville Baseball takes steps forward with facility upgrades

Previously, limited indoor options forced the team to rely on off-campus facilities. Now, with convenient, climate-controlled access to their own space, players can train year-round and on their own schedules. “It’s been a difference-maker,” Evans said, citing increased practice flexibility and improved team chemistry stemming from the new shared locker room environment.
The facility, built with the help of AJ Brown construction and local vendors, also includes high-end touches such as dusk-to-dawn lighting, dugout branding, and artwork coordinated with the university’s identity. Upgrades in technology are also underway, with tools like Rapsodo and Blast Motion already in use and further plans to integrate TrackMan and data displays.

“The administration checked every box,” Evans said. “Our players feel supported, and it’s a game-changer for recruiting.”
