February 7, 2012 /
Litchfield, Ill. – Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2012 – Eli Manning and the New York Giants are NFL Champions for the second time in the past five years with a 21-17 victory over the New England Patriots.  An all-time record 111.3 million fans watched the game as Manning took home MVP Honors.  The Giants quarterback is one of many players on the team who wore a Schutt Sports helmet on Sunday.

“We want to send our congratulations to Eli and the rest of his teammates on an amazing night in Indianapolis,” said Glenn Beckmann, the director of marketing communications for Schutt Sports. “We’re always excited when a team like the Giants wins, as a great majority of their players wear our helmets. So, it gives us a great sense of satisfaction and pride.”

In addition to Manning, Giants superstars Brandon Jacobs, Hakeem Nicks, Mario Manningham, Justin Tuck, Osi Umenyoira, and Chris Canty wore Schutt helmets during Sunday’s victory.

“It’s a true testament to the tradition of the Giants franchise and what we’re trying to achieve as a company,” Beckmann said. “We’ve said all along that once you try our helmets, you will believe. Just like all champions. We’re honored to be affiliated with all of the Giants players who’ve chosen to wear our helmets. They are a world-class organization and we’re thrilled that they’re bringing the Lombardi Trophy back to New York City.”

The Giants have now won two NFL titles in the past five years under All-Pro Quarterback Eli Manning and Head Coach Tom Coughlin.
