Parents Choice Of Coach Ignored

When the Clarksdale Municipal School District Board of Trustees assembled on Thursday, they were met by a crowd of community members with one person on their minds – Michael Stringer.
Stringer has been the head boys basketball coach at Oakhurst Middle School for several seasons, and according to parents, has developed a reputation of doing anything to help his students. It is that reputation that compelled the district office to offer Stringer one of the assistant principal positions at Clarksdale High School.
The crowd, however, wanted Stringer to be the new head boys basketball coach at CHS, according to their spokesperson, Cameron Monix.For full story, click here.
