Illinois basketball coach John Groce has completed his staff by hiring former Illinois State assistant Paris Parham, a source said. Parham will take the spot vacated by Isaac Chew, who left for Marquette shortly after being hired by Groce. Parham has coached in the Chicago Public League, and Chicago is a key recruiting ground where Illinois has had only limited success in recent years. Most recently, Parham was an assistant under Tim Jankovich at Illinois State. Jankovich left this spring to join the staff at SMU.
