Former FHS Basketball Coach Questions Why He Was Let Go

Dave Burns readily admits his teams didn’t win as many games as he’d have liked.
But the former Fernley High School boys varsity basketball coach, who was not rehired after this past season, said if that’s why he was let go, he’d like to be told that.
Instead, Burns charged that the only explanation he was given by Fernley High School Principal Kent Jones was that two school board members had expressed unspecified concerns about him, and about two weeks later, he was told the school was going to make a change.For full story, click here.
