Baylor Athletics has introduced a new way for fans to spread the word about their favorite team; the Baylor Bears. Teaming up with Row27 Studios, Baylor Athletics has unveiled the Baylor Bold Rewards program; a social media rewards program based on sharing Baylor Athletic Department information.

“It was an idea to take word of mouth marketing to the digital age,” said John Garrison, Associate Athletic Director for Marketing. “So much of everyone’s communication is moving to social media and our communications staff does a great job of getting fresh content out, but we believed this would be a way to increase our reach. It allows us to go beyond our `friends’ and get positive information to our friends’ friends by providing fans an incentive to share.”

Fans who participate will earn points for sharing and liking Baylor Athletics Facebook posts, images and videos; retweeting Baylor Athletics tweets; tweeting with certain hashtags; uploading images to CrowdCameo; and/or checking in to Baylor Athletic facilities on foursquare. Additionally, Baylor students will receive points for attending home games in all ticketed sports beginning with the Lady Bears regular season opener the Friday.

Prizes will be awarded as points are accumulated and certain point levels are surpassed. Grand prizes will be awarded to the three participants with the highest point totals on June 30, 2012. Points will reset and the fun will begin all over again on July 1, 2012.

Signing up is fast and easy. Visit www.BaylorBoldRewards.com now to activate an account and start earning points.

Additionally, Baylor Athletics has released Row27’s FanMaker. FanMaker will bring a better visual interface to Baylor Athletics Facebook page. It will allow for more fan interaction through trivia, listing upcoming events with the ability to purchase tickets and provide a Baylor branded theme to Baylor’s official Facebook page.
