Team On 38-Year Road Trip Due To 80-Yard Field

September 29, 2010 /
When Lehman High (N.Y.) was built in 1972, the Board of Education gave it an 80-yard football field. The field never has been expanded to due space constraints, so the team has played every game on the road. Now, despite a $2.8 million earmark for improvements at the field (turf, scoreboard and outdoor lighting), the field still will not be expanded to 100 yards.
