Rutgers University has joined in a partnership with Atlanta-based Aspire Group to handle sales and service responsibilities.

Athletic Director Tim Pernetti announced in a statement that the relationship will provide the school with a broader reach and enhance its ability to grow ticket revenues and attendance.

The Star-Ledger reported in February that Rutgers was considering a partnership with Aspire Group.

“We believe that this opportunity to work with The Aspire Group will take our Athletics Ticket Sales to the next level of customer service for our fans,” Pernetti said. “The Aspire Group’s model enables us to service more fans, with a much broader reach, and in a much deeper manner than we have been able to do in the past. As we continue to build our fan base and create more lifetime members of our Scarlet Nation, this partnership significantly enhances our ability to grow essential ticket revenues and increase attendance.”

An Aspire Fan Relationship Management Center is set to open on campus on May 1, where it will sell and service ticket buyers for football, men’s and women’s basketball, and additional Olympic sports.

Aspire currently handles sales for Georgia Institute of Technology and the University of Colorado.

“Our Fan Relationship Management Centers are very successful and receive constant praise from our client institutions but most especially from their fans. The Aspire Group is looking forward to beginning the partnership with Rutgers University with the Center planned to open on campus by May 1st,” said Aspire General Manager of Fan Relationship Management Bill Fagan in a statement released by the school. “Our mission is to provide the highest level of customer service to the Rutgers community and help build fans for life for the Scarlet Knights.”
