N.J. high school hockey team illegally deploys two goalies

Using two goalies during a hockey game is a fantastic idea, but it’s also one that happens to be illegal.
One New Jersey high school hockey team tried this strategy during a game Sunday, facing an opponent that, by all accounts, was heavily favored to win. Here was how Tenafly High School set up to start the game:

According to HockeyAdvantage, officials had to dig up the rule book to examine this one a little closer. After finding it, Tenafly was called for a two-minute delay of game penalty.
Tenafly lost the game to St. Joseph’s of Montvale, 10-0.
