Russell Otis, the former coach of Compton Dominguez High in Los Angeles, had the most serious charge of meeting a minor for a lewd purpose dropped when the L.A. County district attorney’s office decided not to seek a retrial on the deadlocked decision. However, due to his other convictions, Otis, who coached one of the most successful teams in California, will not be allowed to coach or teach minor due to his registered as a sex offender.
