Midland says Cliptalk is built for industries where coordination is critical, including sports and event production. The technology combines portability with features such as automatic noise canceling, hands-free voice activation and mobile app integration.

“Cliptalk is not just a new product, it’s a breakthrough in two-way communication,” Midland CEO Jeremy Pensick said in a news release. “Midland is setting an industry standard launching a trusted wearable walkie-talkie that delivers sharp audio in a form factor so lightweight you’ll forget you’re wearing it.

“This innovation opens doors for individuals looking for simplicity and reliability.”

Cliptalk radios are 2 inches long and weight less than an ounce. A 360-degree swivel clip attaches to collars, shirts, lanyards or badges, which Midland says ensures instant access without the need for bulky belt units or tangled wires.

Each unit includes an ergonomically designed earpiece, and 121 privacy codes, ensure secure and focused communication during games, practices or other events.

Finally, Cliptalk integrates smart features that Midland says are meant to simplify workflows. Voice-activation automatically transmits voices, allowing coaches, administrators and event staff to stay hands-free during games.

The company also is launching a mobile app to give users control over their communication. Through the app, users can fine-tune the voice activation sensitivity, manage privacy codes, set channel groups and customize settings.

The units are available in two- and six-pack configurations, including radios, detachable swivel clips, ergonomic earpieces, USB-C charging cable, a multiunit charger for the six-pack units and a two-year warranty.
