John Beilein, head men’s coach at Michigan, who was an adamant opponent of expanding the NCAA field when discussing it at the Final Four in April, now says the new, 68-team tournament is a good happy medium. The NCAA will use a “First Four” format with the four lowest seeds playing in two games with the four lowest at-large bid teams playing each other.
