Following its acquisition of Ryzer, Scorability has added basketball, soccer, volleyball, baseball and softball to its service in addition to its established football platform.

Scorability, a college sports recruiting platform for coaches and athletes that started as a football recruiting tool, has added men’s and women’s basketball, men’s and women’s soccer, women’s volleyball, baseball and softball to increase its athlete footprint and recruiting reach.

The Austin, Texas-based company launched its recruiting tool three years ago with football as its main target and has since built a network of more than 225,000 football athletes. However, the company said athletic directors and coaches across the country began pushing for an expansion into other sports.

“The success we’ve had in football and how quickly that word spread has led to incredible demand among college coaches in these other sports,” Scorability co-founder and CEO Brian Cruver said in a news release. “We are thrilled to offer Scorability to basketball, soccer, volleyball, baseball and softball coaches so those college programs can discover and better evaluate any athlete and build a better roster.”

This expansion follows the company’s acquisition of Ryzer, a college athletics camps and registration platform, and has significantly increased Scorability’s recruiting reach. Approximately 500,000 athletes across the newly added sports now exist in Scorability’s platform through camp participation, where the company collects verified measurables, video and exclusive recruiting-related data.

Scorability’s football platform established the model for what it now uses for basketball, soccer, volleyball, baseball and softball. According to the company, it built the platform around equity in recruiting and providing coaches with better tools to evaluate talent, save time and money and recruit athletes who best fit their needs.

The service is free for athletes and families across all eight sports.

According to Scorability, what sets it apart from other legacy recruiting services is recruiting scale and deeper athlete insights. Through its Ryzer camp service, Scorability serves about 1.2 million athletes across 4,500 college programs annually, from Power Four programs to junior colleges. Additionally, the platform provides coaches access to athlete perspectives, parent interview, high school and club coach evaluations, verified academic and athletic data, video and predictive mentality assessments.

“Most coaching staffs simply do not have the time or resources to truly know thousands of athletes during the recruiting process,” Scorability co-founder Brett Andrew said. “We built Scorability to give coaches a faster, more complete way to learn about the person behind the recruit while helping athletes everywhere gain access to opportunities they may have otherwise missed.”
