Miami HS drops varsity football because of low participation

A Miami high school has announced it will drop varsity football due to low numbers, weeks before the season is set to kickoff.
Archbishop Curley will continue with its junior varsity program in hopes of fielding a varsity team for the 2017 season, according to Florida High School Football. This is a problem not unique to Archbishop Curley, as high schools around the nation have grappled with the challenges of their football programs as concerns over concussions continues to rise.
