Despite being thousands of miles from home, Mater Dei (Calif.) head boys basketball coach Gary McKnight, won his 844th career game Monday night to make his the all-time winningest coach in California history. Mater Dei defeated Hyattsville DeMatha (Md.) in the Hoophall Classic in Springfield, Mass. McKnight has coached for 28 years and has a career record of 844-77.
