Longtime University of South Carolina Softball Coach Retiring

Joyce Compton is retiring as the University of South Carolina softball coach after 24 seasons and 951 victories with the Gamecocks. She will complete this season as coach. She also has coached at Mattatuck Community College (Conn.) and the University of Missouri. Her career record is 1,159-575-3.
