Killer Of Iowa H.S. Coach Gets Life Sentence

Mark Becker, 24, who shot and killed the successful and popular football coach Ed Thomas of Aplington-Parkersburg (Iowa), received a life sentence Wednesday. Becker has no chance at parole. Thomas went 292-84 in 37 seasons as head coach and was a prominent figure in helping rebuild Parkersburg after a May 2008 tornado leveled the town.
