Just nine games into the season, the New Orleans Hornets have fired head coach Byron Scott after a 3-6 start. He is being replaced by general manager Jeff Bower and former Hornets, Bulls and USC head coach, Tim Floyd, will serve as Bower’s top assistant. Scott won Coach of the Year honors two seasons ago after a 56-26 record. The team dipped to 49-33 last season.
