Hat World Acquires Anaconda Sports

Hat World, Inc., a subsidiary of Genesco Inc., has acquired Anaconda Sports, Inc., one of the largest independent team sporting goods dealers in the United States.The Anaconda Sports acquisition falls within the LIDS Team Sports division and includes the Lake Katrine, New York-based corporate office, distribution center, production assets. In addition, Anaconda Sports operates a direct mail catalog business and e-commerce website www.anacondasports.com <http://www.anacondasports.com/> that reaches a national customer base.
It sells to wholesalers, mass merchandisers and distributors. Anaconda Sports’ exclusive licensed properties include Babe Ruth League of North America, Boys and Girls Clubs of America, Police Athletic League, Men’s Senior/Adult Baseball League and Senior Softball USA.
