Despite citing her desire to return to the Minnesota Lynx of the WNBA, head coach Jen Gillom has been replaced by Cheryl Reeve. Contract negotiations between the Lynx and Gillom broke off, causing the team to go in a different direction. Reeve has spent the last nine years as a WNBA assistant.
