Former Green Bay Packer Koonce Resigns From UWM A.D. Position

George Koonce, an eight-year starter on the Green Bay Packers in the 1990s, has resigned as the athletic director at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee after less than a year on the job. It was a tumultuous year for Koonce, who struggled with a growing athletic department budget deficit and lost his wife, Tunisia, to cancer in October.
