More than a year ago Red Jacket High (N.Y.) fired its boys basketball coach Tim Munn. Now, finally, a hearing officer has ruled that the school board was just in not retaining Munn, but also found that the school board could have handled the situation better. Munn had been fired due to concerns with his coaching style. The district’s athletic director and superintendent did not agree with the firing at the time, especially because the board did not make an attempt to investigate the concerns about Munn’s style.
