Family members of a 15-year-old football player on the Morrison High (Ill.) squad say an assistant coach struck the player in the head with his knee at the end of practice Monday. The player was transported to the hospital and spent two days recovering from spinal injuries. The coach, who was not identified, claims the player’s head hit his knee as a drill ended and the player was pushed out of bounds.
