Evansville Soccer Player Is Alive, Team Told She Was Dead

The University of Evansville soccer team had been told that 19-year-old teammate Abby Guerra had been killed in an Arizona traffic accident last week. Now, Evansville athletic director John Stanley says Guerra did not pass away and it was a case of mistaken identity. The team had been prepared to travel to Arizona for Guerra’s funeral today. Guerra was in the accident and was listed in critical condition as of Sunday.
