UC has been placed on two years’ probation for a major violation in its women’s basketball program. There were also secondary violations in women’s basketball and football.

UC self-reported the violations, which involved 220 impermissible phone calls, according to the NCAA.

Penalties include coaching and recruiting restrictions and two years probation for the university.

E. Todd Moore was the women’s basketball coach who made most of the calls. He was fired last November when the school became aware of the violations, also received a one-year show-cause order, which restricts his recruiting activity at any NCAA member school during that time.
