1st-Year Brandon Coach Has Two State Titles On Resume

The most celebrated player in Brandon High School history was back home this month for his annual one-day football camp.

While there isn’t a Jerious Norwood on this season’s roster, first-year Bulldogs coach Brad Peterson won’t spend any time lowering expectations.

“I asked our coaches when we had our retreat, ’Where do you want to be in five years?’ My answer was that I wanted to be a state champion at Brandon,” said Peterson, who won back-to-back Class 3A titles at Louisville in 2007 and ’08. “I don’t know if that’s Year 1 or Year 5 or somewhere in between, but we’ve got the players to do it.”
