At Arrowhead High School, more than 500 students participate each year in intramural volleyball, badminton and basketball.

Activities assistant Liz Arsnow says program administrators love to hear new ideas from students. In the past, they’ve offered mini-golf, bowling, ping pong and ultimate Frisbee as requested by students.

If there’s interest in any particular sport among students, there is a good chance the school will offer it. Since this program does not operate as a school club, students pick and choose the activities they wish to be part of. Students in a competitive sport may not participate while involved with that sport.

Arsnow says the main priority for students is that they agree to commit for an entire season. The main goal for students is to participate in a sport, make new friends and have fun, she says.
