Game-changing products for coaches and administrators in 2025

From administrative aids to recruiting software, stay up-to-date on the best technology products set to significantly impact the world of sports this year. As we venture into 2025, this exciting array of game-changing products has emerged, promising to revolutionize athletics and ease of use for athletic directors and coaches.

Boostr Digital Displays

Boostr was co-founded by Greg Crowe in 2012, a high school basketball coach facing fundraising challenges. This need prompted him to pioneer the idea of a TV monitor scorer’s table for his program with his assistant coach in their garage while coaching together in Tuscaloosa, AL.

Boostr has since experienced remarkable success expanding its reach to all 50 states. Specializing in manufacturing and selling LED products like scorer’s tables, and indoor/outdoor digital displays for educational campuses, sports facilities, and businesses, Boostr has become a major player in the industry.

A family-owned and operated company, Boostr helps in-state athletic administrations with its advertising revenue share program, contributing money to high school and college athletic programs and schools. Since 2012, Boostr has donated more than $3 million to these programs, including $1.7 million in 2023 alone.

“We made an affordable product and we went in and started educating schools, coaches, and principals on how to make money with [them],” Crowe said. “We tell them how to take it and make money for your program.”

Boostr’s products are designed to generate ongoing revenue for schools and athletic programs. Over the past 13 years, Boostr’s products have helped raise more than $400 million for high schools and colleges.

“Great coaches have great players. And great programs want to promote their players. And the LED market allows you to do that. It allows you to promote your teachers, your school, and your players,” he said.

Scorability

Scorability is setting a new standard for how college coaches recruit through its innovative approach to athlete engagement. Already in use by programs across all NCAA Divisions and Junior College associations, this innovative software aims to transform how college coaches discover, evaluate, and predict the success of prospective student-athletes.

Developed in collaboration with leading data and sports science experts, Scorability’s product leverages multiple scientifically validated studies to predict a player’s likelihood of success at the college level. This groundbreaking approach gives coaches unparalleled insights for informed recruiting decisions. In a week of using the software, an NCAA Division III coach received advanced analytics on nearly 3,000 student-athletes, CEO and co-founder Brian Cruver said.

“We’re using data technologies and sports science to give college coaches something they’ve always wanted – a complete and accurate picture of the athlete they’re evaluating,” Cruver, who has over 20 years of experience building successful tech startups and was given a crash course in college sports recruiting as the father of an NCAA Division 1 football player, said.

Scorability’s powerful player database helps coaches quickly find the best fit for their programs. The deeper insights lead to better rosters, improved team results, and optimized focus on players who are the best investment for the program. These efficiencies reduce a year’s worth of travel and fees, saving approximately $400,000 in evaluation assessments. This allows coaches to focus on coaching and time spent with family, thereby reducing coach burnout and turnover.

Caddix Cleats

coaches

Caddix is aiming to revolutionize the cleat industry with reimagined technology. Its cleat technology aims to reduce the chance of non-contact ACL, MCL, and ankle injuries. CEO and founder Jack Rasmussen is a Baltimore native and a former college punter through extensive research found when the shoe or turf wouldn’t give, the knees of athletes would.

Innovative studs flex and twist under pressure, effectively mitigating the torque that can lead to season-ending, non-contact injuries, all while maintaining necessary traction for performance.

Though still in the early stages of development and rollout, Caddix already has an all-pro following. Former Baltimore Ravens tight ends Dennis Pitta and Todd Heap are majority investors while Indianapolis Colts quarterback Joe Flacco has been spotted at practice wearing the revolutionary footwear. University of Georgia wide receiver Arian Smith has also partnered with Caddix.

“Their commitment to research-driven science and uncompromising testing has raised the bar for player safety without compromising on-field performance,” Pitta said in a statement. “Caddix is reshaping the game and redefining what it means to compete at the highest level, and I am honored to join the revolution.”

Caddix offers a range of options for athletes, including men’s low and mid football cleats, as well as women’s soccer cleats.

Go4.io

Never miss a practice or game due to safety. Go4’s extensive network of athletic trainers helps stop the endless search for an athletic trainer. Whether in long-term, contract, or per diem roles, Go4 has an athletic trainer for every situation.

Go4’s platform connects organizations and companies with athletic trainers. Utilizing its Uber-inspired technology to create a nationwide network of connected athletic trainers, Go4 is determined to put an athletic trainer on every sideline — including athletic fields, industrial warehouses, clinic floors, hospitals, circuses, and more — and to make hiring exceptionally easy for organizations seeking the unique skillset of athletic trainers.

Teams and organizations post shifts based on when they require an athletic trainer, with no contracts. This allows organizations the flexibility to hire for once-a-week practices or a whole Saturday gameday.

On the other hand, athletic trainers create an account and upload their credentials and NATA (National Athletic Trainers’ Association) membership number before applying for per diem positions. The app allows athletic trainers to apply for shifts that fit their schedule; operators can then view credentials before accepting applications, all within the platform.

As a group of former athletes, former coaches, current coaches, athletic trainers and parents, safety is very important to the Go4 community.

Teamworks Compliance + Recruiting

Teamworks Compliance + Recruiting is a comprehensive compliance platform that enables institutions to monitor their athletics programs and maintain institutional control. The software automates processes, centralizes data, and mitigates the risk of violations across campus.

Available on a centralized, integrated platform, the Teamworks’ product suite provides specialized applications to support recruiting, development, management, individual branding, and community building. In 2023, the company acquired ARMS Software, which supports recruiting, compliance, data integration, camps, and process automation functions. ARMS works with over 400 athletic departments nationwide and has proven to make departments more efficient by automating processes that historically required multiple touches by athletic department personnel.

“Teamworks and ARMS Software have independently revolutionized college athletics with their complementary product offerings; now is the time to bring the companies together to leverage each other’s strengths and deliver a complete package for the customer,” said Mike Hurt, CEO of ARMS Software.

With the acquisition — along with four other recent industry-leading acquisitions — Teamsworks will provide athletes with a single mobile front door, aggregating their responsibilities on and off the field.

Elite Turf

Elite Turf USA, a leading provider of innovative synthetic turf solutions, announced in July the launch of GAMETIME, a revolutionary synthetic sports turf system designed to elevate athletic field performance, longevity, aesthetics, and safety to unprecedented levels.

GAMETIME sets a new standard in the industry with its pioneering woven-in game lines, offering unmatched aesthetics and unparalleled playability. By integrating the game lines directly into the turf during the manufacturing process, Elite Turf USA eliminates the need for tedious post-installation seaming or painting, resulting in quicker installation times and a significant reduction in the number of seams throughout the field.

“I’ve installed turf from many different companies over the years, and this is by far the best turf me and my team have ever worked with. Not only does it feel and look tremendous, Elite Turf’s GAMETIME turf is the first of its kind in that it allows field completion without any glued seams, which enhances the durability of the field and diminishes seam issues that often evolve down the road with typical tufted fields” said Dale Pantelakis, Project Manager of Elite Turf USA.

The woven-in game lines of GAMETIME not only enhance the field’s appearance but also deliver a host of benefits that transcend traditional tufted turf systems. With fewer seams, players experience increased playability, enhanced safety, and improved performance. The seamless lines of play reduce tripping hazards and ensure a consistent playing surface, promoting athlete confidence and reducing the risk of injuries.

All Sports Inflatables

As we all know, practice makes perfect. That means the more time your players spend trying to hit the ball, the better they’ll become. However, if they spend half their time fetching the ones they hit, they’ll miss out on crucial hitting time. Using these blow-up batting cages means neither your batters nor catchers will have to chase down balls during their practice time.

Combine multiple cages to get 40 feet, 60 feet, or 80 feet for full live pitching and hitting.
