The association said NFHS Digital 2.0 represents “a significant step forward” in the digital experience for officials, coaches, administrators and others who rely on NFHS publications. The updated platform was redesigned based on user feedback, focusing on faster navigation, better search, more flexible reading options and a more connected experience across publications.

“NFHS Digital 2.0 reflects our continued commitment to the people who rely on NFHS rules and resources, and it builds on feedback we’ve heard from users across the country,” incoming NFHS Executive Director Davis Whitfield said in a news release. “This update makes it easier for users to find what they need, understand rule references in context and stay connected to the latest information.”

The upgraded platform includes what NFHS calls a refreshed sign-in experience, allowing users to sign in or create an account using email, Google, Apple or RefReps. Once inside the platform, users can view an overview of the new features and improvements.

A key addition to NFHS Digital 2.0 is the introduction of “Publication Home Pages,” central hubs that give users quick access to each publication’s table of contents, highlights, notes, search, share options and linked publications. Users can jump directly into specific sections, access related materials and move through content more efficiently.

NFHS noted that the reading experience has also been enhanced with continuous scrolling, adjustable text sizing and background options to help users customize the way they view content. These improvements are designed to make rules publications and related materials easier to read and navigate on mobile devices.

Additionally, the search function has been upgraded across the platform. Users can now search books, keywords, highlights, notes, tags and rule references more efficiently. Global search allows users to find content without first navigating to a specific book, while improved PDF search helps users locate relevant topics faster.

NFHS Digital 2.0 also introduces in-context rule references so users can view related rules directly in PDFs and case books when one rule references another. Users can preview the referenced rule and then jump to the full rule when needed.

Finally, other new features include a bulletins tab for NFHS Digital news and announcements as well as publication feedback tools that allow users to submit feedback on formatting or potential inaccuracies. Feedback submission statuses can be tracked through a user’s profile.

“RefReps is honored to continue working alongside the NFHS to build tools that serve the officiating and education communities,” RefReps CEO Kyle Armstrong said. “NFHS Digital 2.0 was designed around the way users actually interact with rules content.

“The goal is simple: make the information easier to find, easier to read and easier to use.”
