During his 13 years as head football coach, Olson has guided his team to two state championship games and has been named state coach of the year twice. He also umpires high school baseball. Olson currently serves as president of the North Dakota High
School Coaches Association and teaches the fifth grade. He is married to Brook, with children Kinsey and Connor.
