diagram 1DIAGRAM 1: This play is designed to isolate a post player. 1 is at the point. 2 is on the wing. 3 is in the corner on 2’s side. 4 is on the strong-side post, and 5 is on the weak-side post. 1 dribbles right. 3 runs baseline and uses a double-screen from 4 and 5. 1 passes to 3 in the corner. 3 looks to pass to 5 in the post if 5 is open. If not, the play proceeds to Diagram 2.


diagram 2DIAGRAM 2: 4 makes a diagonal cut to the ball-side elbow. 2 moves to the opposite-side corner. 3 passes to 4 who then can execute a high-low pass to 5. 5 should be isolated in the post and prepared to catch the pass from 4, make a strong post move and score.
