XOS, STATS Combine Technologies To Offer Advanced Evaluation Product

November 14, 2011 /

Orlando, Fla and Northbrook, Ill – November 14, 2011 XOS Digital, Inc., the leading provider of content management solutions and digital media services for collegiate and professional sports organizations, and STATS LLC, the world’s leading sports information, content and technology provider, today announced a strategic partnership that will bring together their respective football solutions, XOS’ Thunder HD™ and STATS’ ICE platform. By integrating the complimentary aspects of both solutions, XOS and STATS are providing professional and collegiate football organizations the most advanced and comprehensive coaching and player evaluation product offered today.

XOS Thunder HD is the most widely used platform in the NFL & BCS, allowing coaches to view and analyze game video, game plans, manage the playbook, prepare for practice and review recruiting and scouting video all from inside one easy-to-use application, all in high definition.

The STATS ICE platform supports enhanced player evaluation and scouting processes by bringing together a team’s internal information sources, such as scouting reports, medical and contractual data, and merging it with STATS’ proprietary game analysis and player performance metrics called X-Info.

“This is an exciting partnership that will extend the capabilities and performance of Thunder Football HD,” said Matt Bairos, vice president and general manager, XOS Digital Coaching Technologies. “XOS Digital is committed to offering the best football coaching software on the market and the STATS integration further proves that fact.”

ICE will provide the user navigation path for mapping STATS’ proprietary X-Info data to actual game video managed by Thunder HD, creating a new level of analytical power and operational efficiency for teams. X-info provides the most detailed events that occur in a game and integrates them with traditional play-by-play to create an unprecedented level of performance information and player insights.  As a result, for the first time ever, a complete visual catalog and corresponding analytics library of more than 160 performance metrics is available for the entire organization to access and utilize. Through the integration of Thunder HD and ICE, teams can rank players by performance metrics such as burned defender, yards after first contact, broken tackles and QB Knockdown and Hurries, and see each and every instance of such plays.

“The strategic partnership between XOS and STATS is the result of two companies coming together with a common goal, and that is providing the best possible coaching and player evaluation solutions available in the sports industry. Both companies recognize the complementary nature of each other’s offerings and we think the possibilities are endless,” said John Pollard, GM of STATS Sports Solutions Group. “The integration of Thunder and ICE is just the beginning.”

Currently XOS Digital has 107 customers across the NFL and NCAA using the Thunder Football editing platform, with more than 40 of them getting the added benefit of the HD presentation and workflow.
