Soccer Refs Refuse To Work On Worn-Down Soccer Fields

The New York City Soccer Officials Association is boycotting four of nine fields at Flushing Meadows-Corona Park due to deteriorating conditions. The artificial turf has several tears and tipped seams while the dirt fields are littered with bottle caps, glass and rocks.
