SJU’s Smith Wins 700th

Jim Smith, who has coached the Saint John’s University (Minn.) men’s basketball team since 1964, won his 700th game Saturday with an 81-79 victory over Minnesota State University Moorhead. His overall career record is 700-489 adn he is just the second coach at the NCAA Division III level to read 700 victories.
