Nolan Richardson Hired By WNBA Tulsa Group

A group of investors trying to lure a WNBA franchise to Tulsa, Okla., has hired Nolan Richardson to be the team’s coach. Richardson signed a three-year deal. He previously coached at the University of Tulsa and led the team to a N.I.T. title in 1981. He gained prominence as the University of Arkansas men’s basketball coach. A decision on the Tulsa franchise is expected by next week.
