Nebraska Volleyball Coach Would Love New Arena

Nebraska coach John Cook says he believes his popular volleyball program could offer twice as many tickets as it does now and still sell out.
Cook said Wednesday if he had his way, the school would build a 7,000- or 8,000-seat arena to replace the 4,000-seat Nebraska Coliseum.

The stadium at Pisgah sits about 25 yards away from the Piegon River, which experienced record-setting flooding from Helene. According to USGS data, the river peaked at 25.86 feet in Canton. The average depth this time of year is just over 1.5 feet. Flood stage is considered 10 feet.
