Most of the South Mississippi high schools won’t decide until Thursday whether or not to play football games on Friday night, it’s original schedule until Hurricane Issac hit the Gulf South region.

Pope John Paul II at St. Patrick will be played Saturday.

Ocean Springs Athletic Director Mark Hubbard told the Sun Herald on Wednesday that he and Moss Point Athletic Director Kevin Jackson will meet sometime Thursday to reschedule their contest at Moss Point’s Dantzler Stadium.

Harrison County schools Athletic Director Mike Gavin will meet with Athletic Directors Jim Bloomfield (Vancleave), Will Seymour (Bay High) and Greg Amacker (Stone) to possibly reschedule their games.

Pascagoula Athletic Director Greg Freeman also said he plans to meet with Athletic Directors Greg Williams (St. Martin) and Tom Gladney (Biloxi) to decide two games. Gautier hosts Biloxi, while Pascagoula travels to St. Martin.

Vancleave plays at D’Iberville, Stone entertains Harrison Central; and West Harrison plays host to Bay High.

Here’s the remaining schedule for prep games in South Mississippi: Greene County at George County; Pearl River Central at Perry Central; Forrest County AHS at Picayune; Poplarville at Enterprise-Clarke; Pass Christian at St. Stanislaus; Sacred Heart at Resurrection; and Tensas (La.) at Collegiate Christian Academy.
