Metta World Peace Takes High School Coaching job
Thunder guard Derek Fisher isn’t the only former NBA player who accepted a coaching job following the 2013-14 season.
Metta World Peace (formerly known as Ron Artest) will become a basketball coach next season for the Palisades High Dolphins. He’s expected to be an assistant coach at the L.A. area school.
According to the Palisadian Post, World Peace will begin his duties with the 2014-15 season. The Knicks waived the 35-year-old veteran in February, and it looks like World Peace’s 17 year NBA career could be coming to a close, unless a team makes him an offer when the free-agency period begins in July. But, hey, he already has a job in hand.
