Kansas University freshman guard Ben McLemore is hoping a players-only team meeting held Thursday in the Jayhawks’ locker room will help cure what’s ailing the KU basketball team.McLemore said the Jayhawk seniors brought everybody together on their regularly scheduled day off to discuss the recent two-game losing streak. During the meeting, the players watched films from some of the happeir moments this season — KU victories.
“Pretty much all the seniors, McLemore said of who did most of the talking in a meeting designed to talk about things we need to do and improve and bounce back.
“Everybody got a little say-so into it. I was speaking. Even Perry (Ellis, who is known for being quiet) was talking. Everybody gave their comments and stuff, mainly the seniors were talking giving their speeches letting us know what we have to do now. Now we got to focus on moving forward.”
