Former Cowboys safety George Teague, the athletic director at Carrollton Christian Academy for the last three years, is now the athletic director and head football coach at the Shelton School. Teague’s first official day on the job was Monday.

“My goal at Shelton is to extend the school’s high ideals and expectations, with that small town atmosphere and support, enhancing the culture of athletics,” Teague said in a news release from the school. “I have been a part of highly successful programs since I was young, and I would like to build and revitalize a program, passing on the skills and lessons that I was fortunate to learn. I believe that in order to build a successful program, there must be discipline, responsibility and commitment from everyone.”

Shelton is a member of the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS).
