Football Player Collapses At Off-Season Session, Assistant Coaches Charged

Two assistant football coaches at Middletown High School (Conn.) have been charged with second-degree reckless endangerment after a player collapsed during a strength and conditioning session Tuesday. Despite temperatures reaching 93 degrees after 7 p.m., players were weight training and running while not being provided water. The player’s condition was not available.
