Assistant Northwestern District Attorney Jane Mulqueen tells The Daily Hampshire Gazette that the alleged victim recently came forward.Cooke was indicted last week and is scheduled to be arraigned on four counts of rape next Tuesday in Hampshire Superior Court.
Cooke’s lawyer says his client denies the charges.
The 46-year-old Cooke has coached at the school for about 20 years and has nearly 300 basketball wins.
