Coach Of State Champion Team Dies Of Colon Cancer At 36

Stephanie Phillips, 36, who coached girls basketball at Springfield Kickapoo High (Mo.) and helped lead the team to state titles in 2003 and 2005, has passed away due to colon cancer. Phillips had battled the disease for the last three years. Her career record was a staggering 214-38 in her nine season as Kickapoo.
