FAIRBURY — Prairie Central High School wrestling coach Joe Cliffe surpassed the 500-win milestone for his career Thursday as the Hawks won dual meets over University High, 49-26, and Rantoul, 60-15.
In his 33rd season, Cliffe pushed his career record to 501-235-11. He is the seventh wrestling coach in Illinois history to reach the 500-win mark.Cliff has been at Prairie Central since 1996. The Hawks are currently ranked 10th in the state and have a dual meet record of 14-2.
