Another high school football player dies after on-field injury

Warren Hills Regional High School (New Jersey) football player Evan Murray died Friday night after suffering an on-field injury, though it’s still unclear what caused his death.

footballThis is the third time this month a prep football player died after an on-field injury. Tyrell Cameron of Franklin Parish High School (Louisiana) died Sept. 4 after sustaining an injury during a punt return. It was reported he broke his neck.

One week later, Ben Hamm of Wesleyan Christian School (Oklahoma) was transported to the hospital after suffering a hit during a play. He was put into a medically induced coma and died eight days later.

Murray was a senior and three-sport athlete at Warren Hills. The circumstances of his injury are still unknown.
