Authorities say a freshman basketball coach and building aide at Jackson High School faces charges that he placed a video camera in the shower area of the boy’s locker room.

Jackson Township police detectives say they and postal inspectors searched the township home of Scott D. Studer, 46, on Pin Oak Avenue Northwest about 6:15 a.m. Wednesday.

Authorities say they recovered evidence from the home.

“Studer concealed video recording devices in the boy’s locker room at Jackson High School, focusing the cameras on the shower area of the locker room, police said in a statement.

Police, along with school officials, called a news conference for 5 p.m. Wednesday.

Studer is being held in the Stark County Jail on eight counts of illegal use of a minor in nudity-oriented material.
