Vista Murrieta High School: FOX Sports West Broadcast

September 12, 2012—Vista Murrieta has valued itself on the four “A’s”- Academics, Activities, Athletics, and the Arts.

On Wednesday, the school was honored for excellence in each. Vista Murrieta received the National Interscholastic Program of Excellence Award from Coach and Athletic Director magazine.

It’s an award of merit not based on wins and losses but what student athletes do in addition to participating in athletics.

“It’s a measure of a balanced program,” said Vista Murrieta athletic director Ray Moore. “Our philosophy is we want (student-athletes) to do all of that stuff and you can still excel and you can still be a great student.” (Continue reading at foxsportswest.com)
