The Overlake School (Redmond, Washington) Upper School Head Gerald Buhaly says that even when seniors don’t make the varsity team, they still are able to make the season fun and a great learning experience (using the basketball team as an example).

The Overlake School is a part of the Inaugural class of the “Interscholastic Program of Excellence.” Commissioned by Coach And Athletic Director, this program recognizes high school athletic programs that, through the efforts of their coaches and administrators, set the standard for integrity, sportsmanship and a positive overall experience for student-athletes.
