VIDEO: High school golfer wins tournament on walk-off double eagle

Christopher Meyers, a 17-year-old golfer at Canyon del Oro High School in Arizona, hit the shot of his life last weekend to win a pro-junior event on the Champions Tour.
Meyers entered the 18th hole at Pebble Beach down one stroke. All he needed was a birdie to tie, but that’s just too easy. Meyers knocked in a walk-off double eagle.
I can’t tell what club he’s using or the yardage on the shot, but this is just spectacular. Check out the video of his shot below and read the full story here.

The subject of the demands of the position leading athletics at N.S. schools was a focus of discussion during town budget deliberations in June of 2023 when several residents lobbied councilors for funding for a full-time hire. A petition in favor of the more costly position that year garnered more than 200 signatures, but instead, $58,000 was ultimately set aside for a part-time hire.
