Hate Speech At N.Y. Lacrosse Game May Lead To Change

A high school lacrosse game between Brighton and East Rochester High (N.Y.) was marred by hate speech last week, specifically, two players from East Rochester using anti-Semitic remarks. Now, Brighton superintendent Kevin McGowan says he is campaigning for changes to the New York State Public High School Athletic Association’s rulebook to address hate speech more strongly that typical taunting.
